The Two things whatsapp has going to introduce,

  1. Disappearing messages
  2. Multi-device login feature

WhatsApp is now working on a new feature is that might be concern in many users. The instant messaging whatsapp application may soon allow users to access the same WhatsApp account (one number) from multiple devices. So as far, WhatsApp does not now permit a single account on multiple devices. The only exception being the WhatsApp Web feature that which can only be accessed on browsers and some of the web viewer applications, and it doesn’t function when the primary smartphone is not in online.

The new feature was spotted by Whatsapp Beta Info in a beta build of the application program. The version 2.20.112 beta for the Android comes with feature but it is still inactive. The latest version, even for beta testers will not be able to access the new feature of it. The website that spotted the new feature claims that users will be notified every time a contact in any of their groups has added a new device and it appears always. The report claims that the encryption key has been changes every time a new device is added into the account.

The whatsapp new version has also had some light on the feature and that was earlier mentioned as the “disappearing messages”. In the latest version has now termed it as “expiring messages”. As the name of the suggests, these messages will be delete automatically after a specific period of time. Within groups, the feature can be used by the admins only. Expiring messages will be highlighted in the chat list messages with the use of the icon on the display picture of the group or the users individual.

WhatsApp’s new multiple-device feature has a long way from the stable update and the WA company might make massive changes to the feature before the official launch.

Separately, WhatsApp has recently restricted the video status uploading time limit to just 15 seconds in India to ease of the network congestion during the ongoing of the coronavirus lockdown.
